About Sokkai Journal

Sokkai Journal publishes evidence-first articles on women's hormonal health — cycle changes, perimenopause, menopause, fertility, and the postnatal years. Our editorial focus is the life of the article, not the algorithm: every piece is sourced, reviewed before publication, and written to be useful over the long term.

Who writes here

Articles are produced by an AI writing system trained on peer-reviewed literature and curated by the Sokkai editorial team. Each article cites 2–4 reader-facing sources — primary research and clinical guidance documents, not aggregator sites. The full source list used during research is preserved separately for audit purposes.

Authors are listed as "Sokkai Editorial" to reflect that articles represent the publication's collective research process, not any single person's opinion.

How articles are reviewed

Every article passes three checks before reaching you: a fact-check audit that compares claims against the research brief, a safety audit for tone and clinical accuracy, and a final human review by the editorial team before the article is published to the live site. We do not publish to trend cycles. We publish when the research is solid enough to say something useful.

Where we say "evidence supports" or "research shows," we cite the source and describe the study type. Where the evidence is thin, contested, or absent, we say so directly — this is a feature, not a disclaimer.

Editorial independence

The app team — the people who build the Sokkai period and symptom tracker — do not write or edit articles. Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team alone. The Sokkai app is mentioned at the end of each article because it is genuinely relevant to the content; it does not influence what we write or how we write it.

What this is not

This is editorial content, not medical advice. No article should replace a conversation with your GP, gynaecologist, or specialist. If you are experiencing symptoms that concern you, please talk to a clinician.
